The Promise of Enough

Do you need a miracle? Most of us experience unmet needs at one time or another. Perhaps you are lonely and long for an abundance of love. Maybe you suffer from an illness and long for an abundance of health. Some may long for an abundance of peace, or an abundance of comfort. Others may find that they long for an abundance of time or an abundance of joy.
Welcome to a spiritual journey that will lead you to realize that the Lord is aware of you and He has miracles in store for you. Through this step- bystep process you will discover seven principles of abundance, each with an explanation of how the Lord can take what you already have and make it more. With an emphasis on making the most of every day, this book will encourage you to seek the gift that only He can bring— the promise of enough, with the miracle of some to spare.

Women of the Old Testiment

Women were not invisible in those ancient days; it is time to bring them out of the shadows today. Camille Fronk OlsonFrom the beginning, women have been at the very heart of God s plan. Women of the Old Testament focuses on some of these remarkable women whose struggles and life situations are not unlike our own. No two are the same. Some are affluent; others live in poverty. Most are married, but some are single. Some are born in the lineage of the prophets, and others come from the cultures of the world. Some have children; others do not. Some make their contributions from within a loving and supportive marriage. Others bring about much good while being married to an absent, abusive, or unfaithful husband. All of them have challenges, but each one has a divine potential to contribute to the Lord's work.
Bestselling author Camille Fronk Olson brings these women to life, going beyond the traditional scripture story to provide insights that are amazingly relevant today.
Elspeth Young's exquisite, full-color illustrations also reveal something about each woman s life and the customs associated with her culture.
A Points to Ponder section at the end of each chapter offers thoughtful questions to consider individually or in a discussion group.

In her lighthearted and conversational style, author Emily Watts offers ideas to improve our spiritual and emotional fitness. In just one short month, you could be a better, happier, more spiritual you!
Pick up any woman's magazine. Read any pamphlet in your doctor's office. Like it or not, you'll find that exercise seems to be the prescription for just about every ill, from diabetes to heart disease to depression to (ironically) fatigue.

Luckily, exercise bikes, dumbbells, and spandex suits are not needed in these 31 exercises to help keep our spirits in shape. I Hate It When Exercise Is the Answer is filled with funny, easy-to-relate-to stories that also come with lessons, such as: how a tax return can teach us perspective, how a big cookie teaches about assumptions, and what an engine-free car has to do with adjusting our expectations.

Hard Times and Holy Places

"Trials and difficulties can, if we let them, become holy places - places where we can feel the power of the Atonement in our lives. Our struggles can be consecrated to our good and groth, and you and I can become more like Christ." - Kris Belcher When the only remaining sight she had left began to fade, Kris Belcher knew her cancer had returned. First diagnosed with bi-lateral retinoblastoma at the age of seven months, she had feared blindness since childhood. Ironically, the treatment that had saved her life as a baby was responsible for the radiation- induced cancer that again threatened her life as an adult. Now a wife and mother of two young sons, she faced her greatest challenge. Five major surgeries within the space of five months left her physically and emotionally devastated and completely blind. Yet during that horrendous time, Kris discovered moments of spiritual strengthening that became holy places in her life places where she could feel the purifying, transforming power of Christ that enabled her to survive and to learn how to live in a world of darkness. Compelling, honest, and at times humorous, her story and the insights she gained will help others find hope and healing in the midst of their own trials.

Honoring a Mother's Love

“Many influences in today’s world try to minimize or marginalize the role of women and especially mothers in building society,” says Brother Jack Christianson. “But as the Apostle Matthew Cowley said, ‘You sisters belong to the great sorority of Saviorhood. You are born with an inherent right, an inherent authority to be the saviors of human souls.’ You women have that innate ability to love—to look beyond the rough edges and to care about people. As a result, you lift them and you build them and you don’t even know it. Nothing can take the place of a righteous woman in guiding the steps of God’s children here on earth.” In this inspiring booklet and talk on CD, Brother Christianson shares enlightening stories, insightful quotes, and pointed reminders to honor the important role of women in our lives. He says, “I cannot express to you how my life has been altered by good women.” Brother Christianson goes on to say that his life was forever changed on the day he realized his mother’s love for him was unconditional. Paraphrasing a quote from 1 John 4:19, he says, “I love her, because she first loved me.” Brother Christianson’s message will uplift, encourage, and provide hope for women everywhere. Awake and Arise: Talks from the 2008 BYU Women's Conference

The prophet Moroni's stirring coda to the Book of Mormon contains a wealth of advice to those of the last dispensation who would receive his words. Chief among this advice is the admonition to awake, arise, and come unto Christ.

In this book are twenty addresses on that theme, gathered from presentations made at the 2008 BYU Women's Conference, addresses geared toward what keynote speaker Sheri Dew categorized as awaking to who we are, arising by making our lives a ministry, and coming unto Christ by walking away from the world. Readers will find sound advice about their divinely appointed roles as women of God, as well as respite from the ever-present demands of daily life.

Contributors including President Thomas S. Monson, Elder and Sister Merrill Bateman, Julie B. Beck, John Bytheway, Sheri Dew, Mary Ellen Edmunds, Marie Hafen, and Carolyn Rasmus remind us that Jesus Christ can heal us, strengthen us, sanctify us, lift us, and redeem us, and that nothing is more important than being a follower of Jesus Christ.
