The prophet Moroni's stirring coda to the Book of Mormon contains a wealth of advice to those of the last dispensation who would receive his words. Chief among this advice is the admonition to awake, arise, and come unto Christ.
In this book are twenty addresses on that theme, gathered from presentations made at the 2008 BYU Women's Conference, addresses geared toward what keynote speaker Sheri Dew categorized as awaking to who we are, arising by making our lives a ministry, and coming unto Christ by walking away from the world. Readers will find sound advice about their divinely appointed roles as women of God, as well as respite from the ever-present demands of daily life.
Contributors including President Thomas S. Monson, Elder and Sister Merrill Bateman, Julie B. Beck, John Bytheway, Sheri Dew, Mary Ellen Edmunds, Marie Hafen, and Carolyn Rasmus remind us that Jesus Christ can heal us, strengthen us, sanctify us, lift us, and redeem us, and that nothing is more important than being a follower of Jesus Christ.
